Several people have asked me if the pro-communist CSCOPE curriculum (recently discovered in Texas schools) is also being used in their state.
The answer is yes to all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada, but as to content of the curriculum, not necessarily structure. It also varies in degree from state to state. Some states are much more infested than others.
Although it’s not referred to as CSCOPE in other states, the intent and much of the content is the same, and comes from the same organizations that brought it to Texas — the Coalition of Essential Schools (or CES schools) and their many affiliates.
CES schools are also behind the national Common Core Curriculum. See how here.
CSCOPE is the name of the online computer program that educators use to access required lesson plans and instructional material.
At least from what has been discovered so far, CSCOPE itself appears to be just a conduit through which to organize and distribute the garbage curriculum material to Texas educators.
Because CSCOPE is owned by the Texas Education Service Center Curriculum Collaborative, they were likely responsible for naming the program CSCOPE. And as the owners, they should be held responsible for what was distributed to the schools through CSCOPE, regardless of who wrote each lesson plan or where it came from.
If you want to know more about what’s going on in your state, go to Schools, Districts & Organizations Indoctrinating in Your State. The schools and districts named there are all either CES schools, CES affiliate schools, or part of another program that partners with or is often used in conjunction with the CES schools model.
For example, many schools are both a CES member school and an International Baccalaureate school. Because there has been controversy over curriculum content in the International Baccalaureate program, and because IB beliefs are closely aligned with CES beliefs, they are listed on this site as well.
PLEASE remember the list is still being updated. Over 300 schools were added last week and there are more to come.
If you see your school or district listed and you want more information, please go to my Contact page and I will provide whatever I can.
Please go to Take it Back! for suggestions, resources, and a sample curriculum request form that can be used to request from your school details about what is being taught there.
